My Experience as a Human Book

The human book initiative is indeed an incredible concept and I am really flattered on being on their shelves. I had the most awesome time being a book.

Never did I thought that people will actually like talking to me. All my life strangers have always judged me before even talking to me. In fact, all the while sitting there and waiting for readers to arrive, I was dreadfully mortified with the thought that no one would even sign up to talk to me. I actually confined those thoughts in my blog post titled “This World”.

It’s was amazing to interact with those 5 young and energetic “GEN-Y” girls. We talked about life, religion, spirituality, movies, books, and pop-culture. Since, I am very bad with names, so sorry on not jotting down those here. But I do remember that one line “Give Love, Take Love” it indeed was witty and powerful. I loved their enthusiasm and outlook towards the world as well as life. Their optimism and conviction really struck me with awe.

Even though I have almost crossed a threshold in life’s book, I still I have pages to go, even if God has other plans for me [really looking forward to beating him again at the 40th birthday]. Occasional interactions with such good souls really make those pages to look forward to.

I have a very pessimistic view of the world, yet a very optimistic view on life. I love those who take life as an experience rather than as a mere struggle.</p

In my opinion life and death are lovers and they long of each other. You see, what ever life sends to death as it’s token of love it keeps it forever clinging to it. Their love is the greatest story yet no one really talks about it. In fact, people are so fearful of death that, they spend life trying to circumnavigate this eventuality yet never living their lives fully. It’s the journey that matters not the destination. So, yeah I am, looking for the next trekking expedition with human library into the valleys of life.

Lastly, I hope I didn’t bore anyone during the reading that day. Thanks Vignesh for introducing me to this initiative and also for those adorning words in your post. I really admire you and I believe you should also be a human book I love your empathy and unadulterated courage in helping others. Last but not least, thanks, Hasti Raval for publishing me.
